The educational department is an essential element of the Service Public Municipal. The commune is responsible for the logistics management of buildings (schools are municipal buildings) but also a significant number of such varied tasks as managing canteens, organising extracurricular activities or even the ATSEM staff. The current municipality has made education a priority of the political agenda by investing approximately € 500,000 per year in this sector. The City of Manosque consists of 8 elementary schools and 8 kindergartens.
